HOW TO APPLY HENNA BRILLIANTLY

One of the most popular forms of body arts today, applying henna or mehndi is becoming increasingly popular not only in the Eastern countries but also the Western ones as well.

Despite the fact that mehndi or henna come in many different varieties and styles, three types of mehndi dominate the industry, namely Indian mehndiPakistan mehndi and Arabic mehndi designs.

Used primarily during traditional festivals such as weddings, the henna appears in a number of different colors such as orange, black, brown and dark green. If you want your henna to last longer, I strongly suggest you use natural henna instead of artificial henna.

Is there a wedding around the corner, and you are in the dark of how to henna effectively and beautifully in anticipation of the wedding?
Let us take a peek at how one can apply easy mehndi patterns, and even complicated patterns, on one's body parts once you master the art of mehndi.

The first step would be getting your henna ready, thus prepare yourself for this step. The option would be to either purchase ready-made henna from a store, or if you want to, you could prepare your own henna using henna powder. Natural henna is without doubt recommended as it would last very much longer than artificial henna that would fade off within a few days.

With the help of a bowl, add ground henna powder, boiling water and jasmine oil or eucalyptus oil and proceed to mix the substances together. To make the color of the henna darker, you could probably opt to add the likes of coffee powder, tea leaves or sugar to the paste, but you could opt to not do this as well. If you need your paste to last longer, you would do well to add lemon juice to your paste.

Utilize an empty plastic container to mix your paste, it would be useful as you could probably get rid of it once you are done with your henna, and you could also store your henna effectively if you need to keep your paste for a few days. Continue mixing the paste until the physical condition of it becomes similar to toothpaste.

Once you realize that your paste is at this level, you should close the lid on the container, and store your paste in a cool and dry spot for about 2 to 3 hours.

Choose from the likes of Indian, Pakistan and Arabic mehndi, and proceed to apply your mehndi with the help of ready-made stencils or even toothpicks. The more intricate and complicated your designs are, the more tools you might require to apply henna.

You would need to wait for approximately 3 hours after applying the henna on the body to allow for the paste to dry effectively on the skin. Once the mehndi has dried, you can proceed to simply flake the henna off the skin, however ensure that you do no wet or clean the applied area with water for at least twelve hours.

As they are more complicated and detailed, henna designs for hands and legs require more patience from the designers, thus ensure that you are careful when you apply henna on hands and legs. Why not apply henna on yourself to gain a fun and fulfilling experience rather than hire a professional to do the job for you? Make use of the many mehndi books that display the art of applying henna effectively for the benefit of those who want to learn this art seriously. So waste no more time, and find your very own henna design book now and become a master henna artist yourself!
